Fact: I cut, trim, snip my own hair but I do leave the coloring and retouching to my hairstylist. Truth: I nipped 6 inches off of this mega mane last month because the extreme summer heat is too much for me to handle. Did I regret what I consider to be the biggest chunk I made in eight years? sorta but thanks to Irresistible Me hair extensions, I had the opportunity to bring back my crowning glory!
Ladies and zillas, say hi to my 100% Remy human hair extensions from Irresistible Me. In haircare lingo, Remy Hair is said to possess the finest quality, something like creme de la creme caliber because cuticles are kept intact for a more natural look with admirable silkiness and manageability. But before we go to the specifics, let me walk you through the process in case you’re curious to try these lovely hair extensions.

1) Shade selection. I “bronded” my hair (hybrid between blonde and brunette) last month so I was torn between #6 (royal light brown) and #10 (royal ash blonde). I went with gut-feel and settled for the latter. Here’s a short video from Irresistible Me to help you choose the right color.
2) Length selection. Short, mid, long? can’t decide how low you can go? this Pinterest guide is a lifesaver! I went with 22 inches, waist-length.

3) Grams selection. Fine or voluminous, basically that’s what grams option is for. If you have fine hair, start with 100, if you have thicker hair like me, go with 200.

This is how your “hair” will arrive, neatly-packed and protected.
Sealed two ways, one for trial, the other “open only when you’re decided to keep it”. This is good because it preserves the hair integrity. Satisfied, I broke the seal and was greeted with netted hair, again for extra protection. It came bundled, all ten pieces, divided into how you want to clip the extensions.
Here is the main part, it’s the bulkiest as you’re supposed to clip it from the crown depending on your desired hair length and volume. Simply bend the clips outward to open and then attach to your hair strands (the closer to scalp, the better the grip), pinch clips inward to close and secure.
So let’s talk about my whole experience with Irresistible Me. First, I like that it does mimic my own hair texture. Although royal ash blonde does not exactly match my “bronde”, I love the ombre look it gave me. Second, I like the flexibility of this set. Meaning, I can clip few extensions depending on my mood: highlights on weekend, voluminous on Wednesday, side ombre on Thursday, etc. Third, when clipped securely (close to the scalp), I haven’t had accidents so far i.e extensions falling or clips sliding.
Can you style these extensions? absolutely! In fact I am planning to do hair tutorials using extensions some time soon. Can you wash ’em? according to the website, yes, preferably after 10-20 wears or depending on how unmanageable they become due to excessive styling. Do they feel heavy? yes, if you use all so clip sparingly as you wish. Do they feel like it’s pulling your scalp? if you don’t know how to use it or try to sleep with it on, I say yes but once you get the hang of it, no.
For this before-after transformation, I used the main and bulky hair piece and clipped it close to my crown section because I want the ombre extensions blend with my bronde hair. I also clipped one small piece on each side for a nice cascading effect. Needless to say, the lower you clip, the longer your hair becomes. My hair is naturally wavy and thick, here’s a closer shot so you can see the similarity of the texture with Irresistible Me extensions.
Bottom line, I like the quality of these hair extensions! I plan to purchase few colors (by piece) so I can add high or lowlights to my hair in between salon visits. To know more about Irresistible Me, visit the website and get 10 to 20 percent off your first purchase.
